Hello,
I had OpenSolaris 2009.06 working fine. I've put the disk
on which it was installed into another system with a newer
nvidia chipset, and it will not boot to the graphical desktop
anymore. It does boot to the console, though (I even have
network coonectivity).
I am hoping to revive this installation and perhaps upgrade it
to Indiana later on, but could someone advise me on the following:
- how to switch the console keymap ? It defaults to US which does
not correspond to my layout
- how to mount a USB key ? I remember this is how I initially
installed a third-party ethernet driver, but cannot remember the
proper invocation. I want to try upgrading the nvidia X11 driver.
- how to install man pages ? they were not on the original CD
and I could not find any installable version at the time (online
pages are better than nothing but not practical without a browser)
thanks for any hint!
